So, in searching the web, I've found several pregnancy/family blogs, which of course led me to believe that my little family (Matthew, Me, Louis and baby to be Bean) should start our own blog. Although, we are already almost 24 weeks into our first pregnancy, I figured it's better late than never. So a little bit about our new family...Matt, the soon to be daddy, is a 28 year old dentist, who is more than a little obsessed with sports (Philadelphia teams of course) and currently works in New York...Louis, Matt's Springer Spaniel, which consequently became mine when we got married, is 5, loves attention and any kind of food you throw his way...and then there's me, Katie, I'm a 22 year old customer service rep, that loves, among other things, cooking and the red sox. And Bean of course, well we don't really know him or her yet...but all in good time. This is the start of the Keller clan, we're making a whole baseball team here... :o)
I guess I have to catch up on the past 24 weeks...I have had a blissfully easy pregnancy so far. I'm lucky, I barely experienced morning sickness. Aside from being constantly exhausted, my pregnancy (knock on wood) has gone exceptionally smoothly. However, we are only about 24 weeks along, so I have just started experiencing the back aches and other little aches and pains associated with pregnancy. I guess the worst part of my pregnancy thus far, and my lovely husband can attest to this, is the horrible anxiety and mood swings. Being a fairly emotional person by nature doesn't really help. Growing up, crying at a moment's notice definitely had it's advantages when it came to winning over my dad, however, being an adult, it's not such a good quality to possess. Luckily, I have a great hubby who assures me that everything will be fine...and sometimes I almost believe him. :o)
I have been feeling our little bean move for several weeks now, just recently however, I've been able to feel stronger kicks from the outside. Even Matt got to feel a few here and there. It's an amazing feeling, I love it. Oh, and we find out on Friday (hopefully) whether or not our little Bean has a little frank and beans, or is a pretty little girl...can't wait!
Today, we signed up for prenatal classes at the hospital...it's coming up fast. I want to know what to do when the time comes.
I freak out at least once a day, HOLY CRAP I'M HAVING A BABY! I think this is normal, right? Anyway, time for me to hit the road. <3
